On Monday, authorities said there is no evidence that drugs or foul play played a role in the death of actor and comedian Bob Saget, who was found dead on Saturday. The actor from “Full House” died on Sunday at the age of 65 in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida. The Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy on Monday morning. Initial findings showed “no evidence of drug use or foul play,” but it could take up to three months for the final results to come in. A medical examiner for Orange and Osceola Counties said Monday that more studies and investigation could take up to 10-12 weeks to complete. He said the cause and manner of death are still up in the air.
“Our condolences go out to Mr. Saget’s loved ones during this difficult time,” Joshua Stephany, chief medical examiner, said. Police in Orange County say that Saget was found dead in his room at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando in Grande Lakes. No drugs or evidence of foul play were found by the sheriff’s office. He was in the middle of a tour called “I Don’t Do Negative,” which had three stops in Florida.
As a TV dad, wisecracking host, director, and stage star, Saget could do it all.
He was a big hit on Broadway and in comedy shows, too, according to his site. In high school, Saget started making Super 8 films. Saget was born in Philadelphia and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, where he made his first film at age 15.
His last Instagram post, which he shared on Sunday, showed him smiling on stage after his show in Jacksonville. This is what he wrote: “I had no idea I did a two hour set tonight. I’m back in comedy like I was when I was 26”. His daughters, wife, and other family members are in our thoughts, and we want to send our condolences.
